Definitely works as advertised. Was able to cut some brand new 3/32nd Square stringers for a vintage Starduster free flight kit. Very happy.

Beholder screws for the exacto blade will not tighten down enough to hold it securely

Second one I've purchased. They work great!!

Quit building in 1970 started flying foam planes 1998 with the help of my good friend Ruben

This product actually does strip balsa accurately. You can adjust infinite dimensions also.

This works great when you have to trim the pieces either a little or a lot. Makes building easier for me

Perfect for striping planks for boat hulls rather than cutting on the table saw. Get more planks per sheet of wood and less waste in saw dust from the saw.

40” Curtiss C-46 Commando built from Diels Engineering plans. All hand-cut, even the 1/16” square balsa stringers. I am recovering from chemo-induced neuropathy that had me lay down the X-acto knife for 18 months because I had no sense of pressure and couldn’t control the knife. After being on one medicine for a year, my doctor switched me to Lyrica and The neuropathy is leaving my hands, enough so to start this project.

Other than the fact I had to wait forever to get the thing it seems to be quite a nice tool.

only thing couldn't find tools on your website outside google search to find it

I've just started building my first balsa airplane and I found this item recommended in one of the blogs I read to figure out what I'm doing.
It WORKS! as advertised and as you would hope. It does take a little care at first to develop the slight skill needed ... but it's way better than paying for pre-made strips.
Just remember, you do need to use it on a cutting board.

The item works well, but the service from Master Airscrew is terrible. The website says same or next day dispatching, and I paid a premium for 1-3 day delivery. They waited 7 days to dispatch it and I ended up waiting about 10 days before receiving my item. When I contacted them about this, I got no response.
Terrible service.

I had one of these years ago. Very happy Master aircrew had this. Thanks.

Excellent product, it’s really ands and hold well within your hand..

Good tool, does what is supposed too.

Your balsa stripper is simply an invaluable tool for my scratch building projects. On the attached photo you see a vintage free-flight plane ( The Coronet ) to which I had to cut my own 3/16" strips of balsa using your tool. I cannot praise your tool enough.
Glenn S.
The screws used to clamp the blade to the stripper were essentially frozen in place. I had to use a pliers to back them out; a phillips screwdriver kept slipping in the screwheads. I finally got the self-tapping screws out and worked them with a pliers enough to sink deep enough to clamp the blade. If I had a bottoming tap of the proper size, I'd have rethreaded the plastic.
My first balsa stripper (also master airscrew) did not have this problem at all, but was lost in our move.

It shipped quickly. It is exactly as advertised.

After ruining my origional black Master Airscrew by spilling Ca+ on thevadjustment threads, it was time to purcash a couple new ones. My only complaint butca significant onecus your changevover to Phillips adjustment screws in place of the rasy to adjust and torque phillister head adjustment screw. SincecI found it to be un workable I changed my brw one back tobthe old style screw and problem solved and again it is easy to make the calibrated 1/32; adjustments.

Looks like it should work but I have yet to use it!!!
Hervey H.
Used for the first time last night on 1/8" thick balsa sheet. Cut five perfect boards. Setup was easy and am looking forward to using in the future.

Works really well . Would buy again in I needed one .

OK, I AM 84 AND A RETIRED AIRCRAFT MECHANIC FROM AMERICAN AND HORIZON AIR LINES. HAVE BEEN BUILDING MODELS FOR YEARS, WHEN STARTING, PURCHASED ALL OF THE QUALITY TOOLS AVAILABLE. YOU HAVE DEVELOPED A LINE OF OUT STANDING TOOLS WHICH HAS ADVANCED MY BUILDING OVER MANY YEARS. THE RESENT PURCHASE OF THE STRIPPING TOOL WAS BECAUSE MY PREVIOUS ONE IS HIDING SOME WHERE IN MY SHOP. JUST DECIDED TO BUILD STICK MODEL, AND HAD TO FREEHAND CUT SOME 1/16" STICKS AS THE KIT BALSAWOOD WAS TO SOFT. WITH THIS NEW STRIPPER HERE, I CAN SIZE MY NEXT MODEL MUCH FASTER. GREAT LINE OF PRODUCTS.

Have one of these purchased many years ago, and wanted another just in case. Have used it quite a bit over the years and it is still hanging in there.
The only negative I see is the plastic material on the new ones is softer so time will tell on how well it holds up.

Excellent product !!!!

The cutter is basically a holder for a blade. It has no measuring scale but it does the job well.
Roberta H.
Haven't had a chance to use this tool yet, but will be using it to cut strips of mahogany edging for a scale model boat. I will report on this later. Nice looking tool that should do the job.
David A.
For its price, it’s an ok tool.
I’ts not a precision stripper though. I’ve only used it to cut a 3/16” balsa sheet into 3/16” sticks, and the results weren’t as spected: There was variation on the sticks width, and the sticks weren’t square.
There is too much slop in the tool sliding mechanisms, and the blade holder isn’t strong enough to prevent the blade from slipping during cutting. I believe the stripper should work better cutting thinner balsa at a larger width.
Nevertheless, it’s a good tool to have as you can use it to cut different materials. You just have to keep in mind it’s limitations.
Again; for the price, it’s an ok tool.
Ernest K.
I've had a balsa stripper for many years but after a very long layoff from building, I just couldn't find my original one. To me, this tool is indespensible to building model aircraft! If Murphy's law still applies, I will find my original one soon after I start using my new one! I don't mind if I do as I can have each one set for different widths!
Donald C.
Haven't had a chance to use it yet, but it looks like a fine tool. My friends who recommended it like it.

I build custom Radio Control Airplanes. I start with paper plans and bulk balsa. I own 3 Master Airscrew Balsa strippers. I can set each of them to cut different size stringers or stock, allowing me to cut consistent and repetitively dimensioned material quickly and as I need it. I have owned these for years and use them ofter. This tool is invaluable to me.
